With the 11th pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, the Atlanta Hawks choose Acie Law IV, point guard from Texas A&M University. He was the first senior taken in the draft. Congratulations Acie!
Mark Jackson had this to say:
“I really like the pick, and the reason why is because you’re talking about what teams say a guy can’t do. Well this young man is an absolute gamer, won the award for the best point guard in the land, this is a team that needed a point guard and they took the best guy available at that position, a correct choice finally for the Atlanta Hawks. No longer will we see a midget running the point guard position for ’em.”
If you take out the first and last sentence, it’s almost a good, coherent thought. Is it really that hard to find quality analysts?
