Dallas Cowboys Release Roy Williams (the bad one)

According to NBC Channel 5 in Dallas, the Dallas Cowboys have cut Safety Roy Williams.

T.O. is not the only member of the Dallas Cowboys that was released Wednesday night. After seven seasons, safety Roy Williams is no longer a member of America’s Team.

The move should be no surprise to Cowboys fans since there has been heavy speculation that Williams would not be back for the 2009 season.

Williams confirmed the team’s decision to Newy Scruggs Thursday morning.

My only question about this is, “What took so long?”.  I assume they were trying to work out a trade, but nobody wanted him.

Dallas Cowboys Release Terrell Owens

According to ESPN.com, the Dallas Cowboys have released Terrell Owens.  I’m not sure if I’m on-board with this or not, but the Cowboys definitely need to do something this off-season to improve the attitude/chemistry of the team.  I guess we’ll find out if Roy Williams can step up and be a #1 wide receiver.

Speaking of Roy Williams, when will they release the Roy Williams the safety?
